Building models/diorama is a fun thing. Imagine putting any objects in real world and make it to the size of your palm, and yet the details of it is not lost. Concentrating and immerging yourself in the finest details during the making is really a zen and indescribably satisfied feeling.

Just like when Tamiya decided to produce western tank toy model, he actually traveled to the local museums to gather information. He realized that the WWII western made tanks were different than the ones made in Japan, in which the western ones had exit doorway, a more humane design. 

Whether you are the original producer of  a modal, or you are simply an enthusiast, the quest for ‘originality’ and ‘realism’ are the same for both. This is the spirit of true craftsmanship.
